The Story & Details
Some crystals hold a little colour. This one appears to hold an entire spectrum.
There are Rainbow Fluorite towers, and then there are specimens that make you stop and look twice.
This extraordinary Premium Rainbow Fluorite Tower stands approximately 15cm tall, displaying an incredible arrangement of deep royal purple, icy lilac, translucent sea-green and soft blue-green fluorite.
Its natural colour zoning creates dramatic bands and chevron-like formations throughout the stone, with layers of violet and green flowing through the polished tower like waves captured in crystal.
But the most remarkable feature is hidden near the termination.
Within the upper section sits an extraordinary internal rainbow, producing brilliant flashes of electric blue, violet, turquoise, pink and gold when the light catches it at the right angle.
Against the surrounding dark purple fluorite, the rainbow appears almost luminous, creating a striking contrast that draws the eye immediately.
And unlike surface treatments or applied colour, this effect comes from light interacting with internal features of the crystal.
Turn the tower slightly and the colours shift. The rainbow may disappear entirely at one angle, only to return in a brilliant burst of colour at another.
It's a beautiful reminder that sometimes the most extraordinary details are the ones hidden beneath the surface.
Layers of Colour, Light & Natural Formation
Beyond its remarkable rainbow, this tower is a beautiful example of Fluorite's natural colour zoning.
Rich purple bands alternate with translucent green and blue-green sections, creating a layered appearance with remarkable depth.
Fine internal veils, mineral features and natural growth patterns become visible as light passes through the stone.
Some areas appear almost transparent, while others display deeper, more saturated colouring, giving the tower a different character from every viewing angle.
Its polished, pointed form emphasises the vertical arrangement of these natural features, making it an exceptional display specimen for collectors who appreciate both mineral structure and optical effects.
The Character of Rainbow Fluorite
Fluorite is a calcium fluoride mineral, recognised for its remarkable range of colours, transparency and distinctive crystal structures.
Rainbow Fluorite is a commercial name commonly used for specimens displaying multiple colour zones, particularly combinations of purple, green and blue.
These colours arise from variations in trace elements and structural defects within the mineral.
In this particular specimen, the combination of dramatic purple-green zoning and a vivid internal rainbow makes the tower especially distinctive.
Traditional Associations
Within contemporary crystal traditions, Fluorite is often symbolically associated with:
- Focus & Clarity: Concentration and considered decision-making.
- Intuition: Personal insight and reflection.
- Spiritual Growth: Exploration of personal beliefs and practices.
- Balance: Creating space for thoughtful reflection.
- Transformation: Embracing change and new perspectives.
These are traditional spiritual associations rather than scientifically established effects.

Display & Care
Fluorite has a Mohs hardness of approximately 4, making it softer than many commonly collected minerals.
Display the tower on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight, excessive heat and areas where it may be knocked over.
Clean gently using a soft, dry cloth. Avoid prolonged exposure to water, harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaning products.
Natural inclusions, internal fractures, veils and growth features are part of the specimen's individual character.
Please note: The appearance and intensity of the internal rainbow will change depending on lighting and viewing angle. Measurements and weights are approximate.
