The Story & Details
Small, dark and carved into a poison bottle with a skull on the front. Very Crystal Asylum, really.
This polished garnet carving takes the shape of an old apothecary-style poison bottle, finished with raised scrollwork and a skull set into the centre. Its deep charcoal, black and wine-red colouring gives the details a completely different character as the light catches the polished surface.
It's the sort of little object that works almost anywhere: amongst a collection of minerals and curiosities, on an apothecary shelf, as part of an altar or sitting amongst your books looking mildly suspicious.
About Garnet
Garnet is the name given to a group of closely related silicate minerals rather than a single mineral species. Although garnet is probably best known for rich red crystals, members of the garnet group occur in a much broader range of colours and compositions.
Intention
Within crystal and spiritual practice, garnet is traditionally associated with grounding, confidence, strength and transformation. It is often chosen for work centred around resilience, personal power and moving forward with purpose.
These are traditional metaphysical associations rather than scientifically established properties.
