The Story & Details
A tiny poison bottle carved from jasper, complete with an ornate skull motif. Obviously we were never leaving this one behind.
Polished from warm, dusky pink-toned jasper, this unusual little carving takes the form of an old apothecary-style poison bottle, with raised scrollwork and a skull set into the front. It's strange, beautifully detailed and just the right side of macabre without needing to turn the whole room into a Halloween display.
Display it amongst your curiosities, add it to an altar or apothecary shelf, or simply keep it somewhere it can make considerably more sensible objects look a little less interesting.
About Jasper
Jasper is an opaque, microcrystalline variety of quartz, often coloured and patterned by mineral inclusions. Its enormous variation in colour and appearance has made it a popular material for both decorative objects and carvings.
Intention
Within crystal and spiritual practice, jasper is traditionally associated with grounding, stability and courage. It is often chosen for practices centred around feeling anchored, steady and supported.
These are traditional metaphysical associations rather than scientifically established properties.
