The Story & Details
Same stone. Same crescent form. Completely different character.
This large moss agate moon is filled with sweeping green, blue-grey and translucent chalcedony patterning, with darker moss-like inclusions gathering through the upper curve and softer, almost landscape-like formations running across the base.
Polished into a dramatic crescent and displayed on a gold-toned metal stand, it's a proper statement piece. The stand lifts the stone away from the shelf and lets the natural patterning do what it does best: look slightly different every time you walk past it.
About Moss Agate
Moss agate is a variety of chalcedony recognised for its distinctive inclusions, which can create branching and landscape-like patterns reminiscent of moss and other organic forms. Despite the name, there is no actual moss trapped inside the stone. The patterns are created by naturally occurring mineral inclusions.
Each piece can look dramatically different depending on the distribution, colour and density of those inclusions, which is exactly why moss agate is far more interesting when you look at the individual stone rather than just the label.
Intention
Within crystal and spiritual practice, moss agate is traditionally associated with grounding, prosperity, growth and opportunity. It is often chosen for intentions centred around building something steadily, encouraging new beginnings and creating the conditions for growth.
These are traditional metaphysical associations rather than scientifically established properties.
