The Story & Details
Some pieces are chosen for their symbolism. Others for their extraordinary colour. This one has both.
A beautiful combination of natural mineral artistry and meaningful design, these Rainbow Fluorite Angel Wings bring together vivid purple, blue, green and golden tones within an intricately carved statement piece.
Measuring approximately 14cm wide and 21cm tall when displayed on the stand, the wings form an elegant, symmetrical silhouette with a beautifully shaped heart opening at their centre.
Across the polished Fluorite, striking bands of deep violet and lavender flow through translucent sea-green, soft turquoise and warm golden-yellow mineral layers.
Some areas reveal rich purple stripes, while others appear almost luminous as light passes through the stone, creating remarkable depth and natural colour variation.
Each wing has been carefully sculpted with flowing feather details, allowing the carved lines to follow the natural movement of the mineral.
The result is a piece that feels both delicate and substantial, with the beautiful colour zoning of the Fluorite remaining the true centre of attention.
A Remarkable Display of Natural Colour
The defining feature of this carving is the extraordinary combination of colours within the Fluorite.
Rich violet bands travel vertically through the wings, interrupted by delicate layers of blue-green, soft lavender and golden-yellow.
The translucency of the stone allows light to interact with the different mineral zones, revealing subtle variations in colour and depth.
From certain angles, the green and blue sections appear almost illuminated, while the deeper purple bands create striking contrast.
These colours are part of the natural character of Rainbow Fluorite, formed through variations in trace elements, structural defects and geological conditions during crystal growth.
The intricate feather carving adds another layer of detail, creating beautiful reflections across the polished surface.
Wings, Heart & Symbolism
Wings have appeared throughout mythology, folklore and spiritual traditions as symbols of freedom, protection, guidance and transcendence.
They are often associated with the idea of moving beyond limitations, finding perspective and embracing personal growth.
At the centre of this carving, the two wings meet to create a delicate heart-shaped opening.
The heart introduces another layer of symbolism, representing love, compassion, connection and emotional openness.
Together, the wings and heart create a beautiful visual expression of protection and connection without overwhelming the natural beauty of the stone.
Freedom to grow. Courage to change. And the wisdom to remain connected to what matters.
The Character of Rainbow Fluorite
Fluorite is a calcium fluoride mineral, admired for its remarkable range of colours, translucency and distinctive natural zoning.
Rainbow Fluorite is a commercial name commonly used for specimens displaying multiple colours within the same stone.
These can include purple, green, blue, yellow and colourless areas, often arranged in beautiful natural bands.
This particular carving showcases an especially attractive combination of vivid purple, sea-green, blue and golden tones, with the polished feather details adding depth and movement.
Because Fluorite has a Mohs hardness of approximately 4, it is softer than Quartz and should be handled carefully to protect the delicate carved edges.
Traditional Associations
Within contemporary crystal traditions, Rainbow Fluorite is often symbolically associated with:
- Focus & Clarity: Clear thinking, organisation and purposeful decision-making.
- Intuition & Psychic Work: Inner awareness and personal insight.
- Peace & Calm: Creating a peaceful atmosphere for reflection.
- Spiritual Growth: Developing personal awareness and spiritual practice.
- Protection & Warding: Symbolic energetic boundaries and protective intention.
- Transformation: Embracing change and new perspectives.
These associations are rooted in contemporary spiritual beliefs and are not scientifically established therapeutic effects.

Display & Care
Display securely on a stable, level surface away from edges and areas where the carving could be knocked.
Fluorite is a relatively soft mineral with natural cleavage planes, making thin carved sections and delicate edges vulnerable to damage if dropped or handled roughly.
Clean gently using a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive products, prolonged soaking and ultrasonic cleaning.
Prolonged exposure to strong direct sunlight may affect the colour of some Fluorite specimens, so a display position away from continuous sunlight is recommended.
Natural colour zoning, inclusions, internal fractures and mineral growth features form part of the stone's individual character.
Please note: Colour intensity and translucency may vary depending on lighting conditions, viewing angle and screen settings. Measurements are approximate.
